The Sustainable Development Goals: What Local governments need to know

Local and Regional Governments are key players in the successful global implementation of the Sustainability Goals because they work directly with and for their citizens, and therefore, know best where projects should be implemented. This report describes each of the Sustainability Goals, and specifically outlines why each of them are relevant to local governments. These descriptions are accompanied by explanations of what these governments can do to help further the success of the goals. The report also advocates for cooperation between all levels of government for the success of the Sustainability Goals.
