Washington, D.C., March 28, 2018 - US SIF Foundation announced today that the window for the 2018 Biennial Trends Survey is now open. The survey will provide data for the 2018 edition of its Report on US Sustainable, Responsible and Impact Investing Trends.
The internationally referenced biennial report provides data on the scope of sustainable investing by US asset managers and institutional investors, and insights on the environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues they consider. In 2016, the Trends Report found sustainable, responsible and impact investing assets had expanded to $8.72 trillion in the United States, a 33 percent increase since 2014, and the leading ESG issues—based on the assets affected—were conflict risk and climate change.
“It has been fascinating to track the growth of sustainable and responsible investing in the last few years, and to see which environmental, social and governance criteria are becoming more important to investors,” said Meg Voorhes, Director of Research. “The challenge for our research team, as always, is to ensure a high level of participation so that we can present as accurate and detailed a picture as possible to the investors, Washington policymakers, media and other stakeholders who rely on the final report.”
